Model horse Collecting?

I think i’m done with collecting breyers… I was thinking about schleich or something like that… but what about marx and those other brands? Which model/ collectors/ toy horses could be worth the most in the future? I need to start collecting a new brand… breyers are honestly too expensive for me now =]

I’ve been collecting model horses since the 1970s. The Breyer “market” comes and goes as far as value. If you are collecting and want to retain value then condition is everything. A model that has no rubs, scratches, or factory flaws will hold and increase it’s value over the years. One that is not mint will lose value quickly.

Breyers are a bit pricey but are the best out there from a collecting point-of-view. The other collectible is the Stone horse. However, they are way more expensive and don’t hold value as well.

There are other brands of model horse such as NorthLight, Schleich, Hartland, as well as many resins and china horses. You can see many, many models at http://www.modelhorsesalespages.com/sales/ and get an idea of value.

The hobby has many to choose from. My suggestion is also to collect those that you want and enjoy them!
